The fall is a time when people indulge on various pumpkin treats available in grocery stores or restaurants, but if you’re not keen on spending money at a restaurant, you can try making some at home. In this week’s Barton’s Mill Apartments Blog, we’ll share with you some recipes for pumpkin-themed foods and drinks!

Pumpkin Pie Milkshake


  • 1/3 cup pumpkin puree

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

  • 2 LARGE scoops vanilla ice cream

  • 6-8 broken gingersnap cookies

  • 1/4 – 1/3 cup milk

Pumpkin Pie

  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

  • 3 large eggs lightly beaten

  • 1 15-ounce can pumpkin puree

  • 1 and 1/4 cups evaporated milk

  • 1/4 cup hot espresso or strong brewed coffee
